Executing your first trade (on demo)

Video coming soon

Presented by NourIn Arabic, with captions. Other languages are coming.

Educational content, not investment advice. Nour explains how markets work. She never tells you what to buy or sell.

A complete trade has five steps: written plan, calculated size, execution with stops, follow-up, and journaling. Example (hypothetical, demo): $1,000 account, entry near 1.1850, stop at 1.1830, target at 1.1890.

  • Risk 1% = $10; $10 ÷ 20 pips = $0.50 per pip = 0.05 lot (a full lot is 100,000 units, $10 per pip).
  • In MT5: F9 → New Order → set volume, Stop Loss and Take Profit before clicking Buy.
  • Outcomes: about +$20 or −$10 before costs; stops can fill at a different price in fast markets.
  • Never move the stop further away; log every trade.
